List of Ideas
Thought we could keep a running list of ideas here:
Casual Shoes made by running companies
Keen Boston Shoes (TG)
Swim Goggles (TG & GG)
Trail Runners
Montrail Masai (they deserve one after 5 pairs in a row). I'm about to take my 3rd pair out of the box...been waiting for us to get this thing formalized (TG & GG).
Nike Air Zoom Steen II (getting a pair today)
Outdoor Gear
North Face anything (I love North Face products). Chuck can give us the low down on North Face. I think they are locally owned now (TG GG)
Fuel Gear
Fuel Belt, they need some constructive criticism, their product could be vastly improved with some minor tweaks (TG GG)
Running socks
Trail
Road (TG GG)
Mountain Bikes
Specialized bikes (my old one and my soon to be new one)
Bike Racks
yakima racks, best rack known to man
Restaurants
The Lantern
Nana's
Pops
Magnolia Grille
Weaver Street
Elmo's
Tylers Carrboro and Durham
B-BQ Joint
Armadillo Grille
Flying Burrito
The Loop
Fosters
Parks/Recreation
Chapel Hill Community Center (including park, gym, pool, surrounding trails)
Wilson Park
Umstead Park in Chapel Hill
Homestead Park
other ideas, once we get our system perfected, we need to get it out there, there are multiple sites already that either do their own reviews (often times very subjective and not worth a damn) and then there are the sights that have excellent product reviews written by anyone, and typically including a simple 1-5 star type rating. e.g. www.mtbr.com under product reviews, this is THE go to site for anything related to mtn biking, still takes some sorting through and a ton of reading, amazon.com (not sure how objective these are but finding the occasional negative one helps), cnet.com (very subjective and I assume paid for by product companies).
